Hi all, i was just wondering how i go about changing the colour of my bike? What steps do i need to take? anyone been through this process

Easy get a respray, but when you come to sell it people will be asking why has it had a respray has it been droped crashed etc etc

Yep, there has to be a good reason, and a non standard paint job, even a very special one, will usually knock a good 10% off the vause of a bike. Even if it's never been dropped...

You mean writing to the DVLA to amend the V5?

Well, write to the DVLA to amend the V5.

I changed my bike from Yellow to Black, bought a bunch of spare parts, had them sprayed up as I wanted and kept the originals to go back on. Except I dropped the fuel tank on the garage floor and the fairing was already cracked, hey ho. Black it is then, must tell the DVLA one of these days.

Someone will be along shortly to tell you why it's important to tell the DVLA
(it's so the Police can find you more easily).
