I now know how to get the rear speakers out, but what size are the standard rear speakers in a 95 wrx classic ?

i have some cheap 6 inch which will be better than standard for now will these fit ?

You can put 6x9's in :) All you have to do is drill some new holes and angle the speakers.
6x9 speaker covers don't fit to good so round one's will do or leave your old one's in.
Easy to install.

You can sometimes pick up specialised shelves off ebay that fit 6 x 9's. Failing that you have to start chopping away at the metal to make things fit.
Mind your fingers though.

I took one of mine to halfords the other day and held it up against the speakers they had. Turns out they are 5 1/4 inch as standard :D

Needless to say I didnt buy any speakers from there though.

Went for the same size Infinity Kappa 52.7i from ebay. Brand new for £51 all in :)

did you have to do any mods to get the 52.7i's to fit, or were they a direct replacement?
