Going on from the Photoshoping digital photos thread can people post any other effects thay use on photoshop for making there photos look better / unusual

high pass filters for sharpening a batch of photos is awesome

open image
create a Duplicate Layer
Select Other filters>High Pass
select between 4 and 10, 5 or 6 is usually fine
set to Soft Light
Flatten the image
voila!

try it, it's really effective.

the unsharp mask is overdone, but if you need to batch sharpen, the high pass filter is excellent.
