Default Hard drive issue

Right i have got a PC which has 2 80gb hd's and for which was running windows NT i have now upgraded it to XP Professional.

now when i put the XP Pro disc in the machine i booted from that and installed it on the c: as you normally would.
I deleted the partitions on both of the hd's and XP was successfully installed on the c:...

the only thing now is that the although the computer knows that the other hard drive is there it does not let me enable it, therefore i cannot see it in 'my computer'.

I have also tried getting rid of the driver for windows to use it's generic one, this didn't work...

any ideas people?

Pete
