OK.. I now have my new EOS 400 and I installed the software form the Canon CD. Call me picky, but this wasn't the most intuitive and user friendly software I've ever used.

Like iTunes, I took and instant dislike to it and I'm now looking for a good alternative in which to connect the camera, programme runs, connects & downloads on board images and then offers some good editing options.. I already have Photoshop, but that's playing up saying it the camera files are wrong...:wonder:

So this has annoyed me already...

Any suggestions to alternatives?

download the latest version of Adobe Camera Raw. For a file viewer and downloader try picasa from Google

Photoshop CS or CS2, and as Pumpkin says, the latest RAW plugin for it. It's free from Adobe and doesn't require any registration, just in case your copy is as cosher as mine:norty:
For a file Viewer I use Irfanview. Another free download from IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide (http://www.irfanview.com).
