so i got some silvertec indicators and LED side lights - sidelights look easy enough to change.
Indicators in the headlights, I can only summise that the whole unit has to be removed to get access to change the indicators?????
any1 able to confirm they have changed indicator bulbs any other way????

According to the service manual, you unclip the inner wheel arch , bend it in and access the back of the headlamp that way.

It should tell you in the manual.
I know it does for my MY03 STi. It tells you all you need to know on how to remove the headlight unit to change the bulbs.

What Silvertec bulbs do you need for the front indicators on the MY06/07 as I have just bought a MY07 STi and want to change them as well.

The manual is very helpful, it tells you to go to your local subaru dealer and get them to do the job for indicators and side lights

Hi not sure if this is what you wanted to know as I'm new to scoobs. I have a 2002 Bugeye with a dealer fitted morette conversion. :wonder:
On my car I needed to take the headlight units out to change any of the bulbs. Once I had done one I was able to do the other in 5 minutes, which is still a bit extreme considering all you want to do is fit a new bulb, however!!!
First unclip and take off the front grill. Then there were 3 bolts that I needed to undo. An 8mm socket for the one on the top right of unit and a 10mm socket for the two on left side. Once I'd taken the bolts out I wiggled the unit out and had easyish access to the bulb housings at the rear. Just be careful not to dislodge or break any wires in the process or you'll end up removing the units loads of times to sort it & become a pro at it like I have. Good luck. :D
