View Full Version : First attempt at a moon photo Big Bear 01 January 2007, 23:42 Was shot in jpeg on a 400D with 100-400L no adjustments apart from cropping http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q22/Dave_Harries/moon/moon1.jpg Milamber 02 January 2007, 00:42 how long was the exposure? Big Bear 02 January 2007, 00:48 1/320 and f5.6 Hoppy 02 January 2007, 10:25 Nice :) Everybody seems to shoot only a full moon, but this is much more interesting. Some of those asteroid (?) splats are a bit scary  Richard. Big Bear 02 January 2007, 11:13 Only reason I thought about shooting it was that it seemed very light outside last night, when I looked at the sky there were no clouds and a big moon :) I don't think I would want to be on the end of some of the asteroids that have hit the moon , it could hurt a bit. Ian Cook 02 January 2007, 11:39 I don't think I would want to be on the end of some of the asteroids that have hit the moon , it could hurt a bit. But not for long ! ;) Great shot though :) scoobypreza 02 January 2007, 17:26 wow! Thats a great shot! :) Dazza's-STi 02 January 2007, 19:01 Did you zoom the shot in PS??? what was the orignal size of the moon in the frame??/ Top shot btw... i tried but failed last time... Mmm time for another go... :-) Big Bear 02 January 2007, 21:43 I used PS elements 5 for the cropping and resizing , the moon was probably just under a 1/4 of the original photo size , I guess that is the beauty of having 10 MP camera |
