Default Your greatest " I was there " moment?

just thought it would be interesting to start something like as its one of those disscusions that always happen when you meet different sports fans.

my biggest one would be to say i was there for the 1st and 49th games of the arsenal unbeaten run.

might not sound so amazing but as someone that dosen't have a season ticket etc its pretty cool for me.

Thumbs up

I was there when they didn't make it to 50 unbeaten... plus I was in Barcelona when Utd won the Champion's league, plus I was at Brands Hatch when Mansell won his first F1 race.

Sounds cool! I wasn't there, and dont remember seeing you

I was there B20

Yes it is a lifetime memory But not what I'd class as my greatest 'I was there' moment

PS: For the record, it was actually Liverpool vs Arsenal

I know its been closed for six years, but didn't know they'd changed the spelling too .

I was at the last FA cup final at Wembley. One of four FA cup finals I've attended. I know we won, but it was soooo dull.

As for my greatest moment, it would probably be for Di Matteo's goal after 42 seconds of the 1997 FA Cup final against Boro. What a moment! Now, every cup final, I breathe a sigh of relief after 43 seconds that the record remains intact for another year.

A close second would be two fantastic days spent in Stockholm in 1998 before Zola scored the winner in the Cup Winners Cup final.

Oh, but I forget, apparently we have no history .

My best sporting-related "I Was There" moment has to be the England-Greece world cup qualifier - the last game where Beckham actually performed for England. But damn he was a god that day! The celebrations after the game seem to last as long as the game itself!

My best "I Was There" moment overall would have to be the birth of my son!

Yep i remember patrick getting a standing ovation. thats what anfield is about, if the performance on the pitch is good they get applauded. Look at zola the liverpool fans adored him he was a fantastic player.
