After reading some of the earlier threads on bleeding air out of the C/H system I appear to have got it wrong for the past ?? years. I always bled the rads' when the pump and boiler were on ! Good gush of gas escaped so I thought this was OK.
Recently had a rad out to decorate a room and put Sentinel into the header tank in the loft prior to refilling.
To bleed properly I assume now that the pump must be off and the boiler cold ? or can it be done with just the pump off and the water still hot in the pipes ?
Thanks
