You may recall from my earlier post that I live in SW London and wanted to replace my old Potterton boiler with a new condensing one. Could not find a plumber in whom I had confidence to do the work. A couple came, said things like - 'do if for cash gov', 'you don't want power flushing it causes more problems than it solves - it springs leaks in the system' and wanted silly money. Eventually I appealed to Scooby plumbers (being impressed with their expertise from their postings) if any of them would like to do the job. Even on Scooby got no response from any London based plumbers. Eventually Mog wrote to say that although he lived far away he will come and see the job. He came on the day and time agreed, discussed the job with me. Next day sent me a detailed estimate - which was agreable to me and agreed on the date to carry out the work. Arrived promptly on the appointed day and day and half later I had a new Bosch Worcester CDI30 boiler and a new bigger copper cylinder ( 3 women in the house - long showers!) - power flushed system - wireless controls etc.. Work done to the highest standard - proper receipt issued and all paperwork done. Then explained to me how the new system works - and this is the good bit, said 'you will have no problems but if anything happens I am at the other end of the phone' - makes one feel good!. The house is like a sauna now - happy wife! Of course the real test will be if the system is working efficiently in a years time. I have no reason to believe it won't. It really does pay to wait and get a proper craftsman to do your work especially gas/ electricity where the safetly of your family is at stake. I am glad I did. Thanks MOG.

Glad your happy with the boiler I had the same one fitted in September, but no copper cylinder didn`t think you need them with a combi anyway.

Seems rare to get this level of service.

Perhaps Mog could look at my post regarding my water pump....

Cheers.......

Anyhoo, what is it with Worcs putting HW controls on their conventional boilers....half the buttons are redundant :lol1:

Still a good boiler though :thumb:
