Does anyone out there have any experience of cycling into the stages?

How possible is it to avoid the entrance charges if you approach using a bridleway/footpath?

I'm hoping to go to Epynt and looking at the OS maps there seems plenty of scope for access via unconventional means.

That's me. We're meeting at Trecastle on Sat A.M. but going to Halfway.
You're welcome to join us if you like, Epynt isn't too far from Halfway by bike.

Sounds promising.

What time are you meeting, and how far is your planned ride into the stage?

We'e meeting at 08.30 for about an hours ride time into Halfway 1 (stage start 10.01).
Epynt starts at 09.24 so you may need to start earlier to catch that one.
I'm hoping to shoot across during the break to Epynt, and come back to H/way to see the WRC cars again.
PM me your phone no. and I'll inform you where to park etc. and update you of any changes.
Kev.

Two requests please..

1. Dont ride on the stage routes themselves - even during the break between the stage runs. There will still be traffic and the link cars on the stages.

2. Please dont park in inconsiderate areas - PR issues caused by spectators are a real problem on this event as much as on any other rally.

Paul.

No problem on that front Paul, I've worked out routes around the stage.(all on public rights of way)
And I'm always respectful of marshals guidance & instructions.
