The kenwood screen is amazing, the detail is great and the touch screen is nifty and the surround sound to pirates of the carribean 2 is something i wouldnt expect in a Subaru.

Luckily ive been told i can have a set of front and rear speakers for Christmas and ive an idea of how to fit the 6X9's on the rear but i know the fronts can be a problem so does any one have suggestions which front and rear sets would be the best for the install?

Cheers all

Ian

You bought the screen then mate, was expecting a call to help you fit it.

Front aren't actually that bad to fit just make some spacer's out of MDF.
Mine are 6.5" Rainbow components and are 63mm deep, i used 2 pieces of 12mm thick mdf to clear the window.

Give me a shout and i'll give u hand.

Can't really go wrong with any good quality speakers IMO: In-phase, Infinity, Kicker, Rainbow, MB quart, JL, Boston etc.

Its worth using some sort of sound proofing Dynamat etc, on the back of the door cards especially in the gap between the door pocket.

I've got Kenwood components up front in mine, no spacer's required!!!! Cost about £200 for the lot, this was for 6", an active x over and tweeters,

I've also got Kenwood 6" on the parcel shelf, these were around £90, This set up on it's own sounds pretty good with a decent headunit.

Now have sub an an amp and it sounds awesome
