Like for like fittings are not covered under the part P regulations neither are repairs to an existing circuit.

So there is your get out clause, that fitting and circuit was original was'nt it?:wonder:

You would need some red and black twin and earth of the correct size for it to look original, it has not been produced for over a year now.

kitchens and bathrooms are the problem but if its your own house whos to know. I have been sparkying for 30 years domestic and comercial and due to the fact that i only work on commercial i cant touch kitchens or bathrooms without the part p..yeh right

So we're just stuck with extension leads and myriad muti-sockets everywhere to keep legal then :Suspiciou

Unfortunately I haven't got any of the old wiring LOL :lol1: - could strip some out of my attic - there's loads up there :Whatever_

TLC (http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Main_Index/Clearance_Home/Clearance_Cable/index.html) have some 3 core & earth left in old colours.

You may still be able to find some somewhere....
