Scoob99 25 November 2001, 17:35 YEAH ALL 2MINUTES AND 24 SECONDS OF IT............IF IR HAD BEEN FOOTBALL IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ON ALL BLOODY DAY AND NIGHT.....GRRRR!!!!!!!!!....RANTE MODE OFF. CHEERS COLIN darren f 25 November 2001, 18:34 An absolute disgrace- we have a BRITISH (even ENGLISH) world champion and its given piss-poor coverage. I take it its nothing to do with BBC losing the coverage next year??? Huxley 25 November 2001, 18:43 That’s what we pay are TV License for, Fecking rip off merchants we must be a minority because everyone loves Poxey football, don’t worry about the other sports we have in this country anyway we forget that footballers are the most brainiest in the world roll on Dave Richards WRC coverage to come and I hope it's put on Channel 4,5 or itv not the bloody bbc. There's been more coverage on Eurosport than the bbc. What happend to the "British Broadcasting Company" no it's "Football Broadcasting Completly" anyway rant over !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Huxley BOB.T 25 November 2001, 18:44 Tell me about itimages/smilies/mad.gifgrrrrimages/smilies/mad.gif Who do we write to, c'mon why don't we all write off and spoils someones day at the BBCimages/smilies/mad.gif Bob ps, There's a thread in motorsport along similar lines BOB.T 25 November 2001, 18:51 yes of course I realise this is the motorsport forum :o phd 25 November 2001, 19:03 Here's where to write..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport/hi/english/static/feedback/suggestions.stm phd 25 November 2001, 19:05 Already made my "suggestion" Pete SteveB 25 November 2001, 19:19 My suggestions have been sent. Steve. Huxley 25 November 2001, 19:24 My comment to the BBC I feel that the Network Q rally coverage was very disappointing their seemed to be more on Sky than the bbc. I think that if all the effort was put into covering the rally in a bit more detail not just the highlights as normal remember that there are more than the top 20 drivers in the event. And remember that it’s the clubman that keeps motor sport running and thriving in this country and the top drivers had to start a the bottom some time. ps. and some thanks to the clubs and individuals that give up their time to help and run the events wouldn't go a miss Huxley BOB.T 25 November 2001, 19:27 Cover me, I'm going inimages/smilies/mad.gif BOB.T 25 November 2001, 19:40 This is what I put, Hi Just a quick note about your coverage of the Rally GB I wondered if you were aware that the Rally GB is part of a world series? It was in fact the final round and there was the oppurtunity for two British drivers to have won World champion status. In Fact Richard Burns won the title, he's english by the way. You are clearly blissfully unaware of the milions of people in this country who may of wished to see this event. I wonder what reason you might offer for being unable to show reasonable coverage of such a high profile event? Naturally I realise you need to offer an hours build up to a rugby match but surely you could offer more than 2.5 minutes of a world rally? Yours Faithfully Bob Towell not really holding out for a quick response then:rolleyes: Feedback Response Thanks for your enquiry. We will be in touch as soon as possible. Our response time is dependent on the volume of enquiries we receive, so please be patient. Huxley 25 November 2001, 20:04 At least you got a reply from them ??? all beit automated Hux BOB.T 25 November 2001, 20:09 no, that's the screen after you submit your rant:rolleyes: Huxley 25 November 2001, 20:11 Doh Scoob99 25 November 2001, 20:24 Just gave them an ear bashing too!!!!!!!! Cheers Colin Huxley 25 November 2001, 20:34 People power Wahoo Huxley Steve Williams 25 November 2001, 21:34 Just replied to this thread in general... Put it here again :) What will the BBC do??? Probably nothing But next year channel 4 have promised to take rallying to a greater audience..... Seen their plans written in papers and mags, looks really good.... Will they live up to their promise??? I hope so navigator 25 November 2001, 21:39 well i have had my grumble at the bbc too.!! ski 25 November 2001, 23:41 I want my licence money back! we were all robbed. schuey 26 November 2001, 01:09 What coverage?????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????? All I got was bloody nag racing, when they SHOULD have been showing the first Englishman to win the WRC. Now they tell me that the licence fee is going up. Rant,Rant,Rant. Jon SWRTWannabe 26 November 2001, 09:35 I agree - far too little coverage, but I did chuckle at an interview they did with Colin McRae - the caption at the bottom said "Colin McRae - Subaru". Is there something we don't know? ;) GranTurismo 26 November 2001, 10:50 Pathetic BBC. Just like the F1 was whihc is why I go skits when people moand about the ads that ITV have in F1 Channel 4 have the WRC NEXT year so expect some propper Airtime! (And I have Eurosport anyway, becuase of the motorsport) SimonRyan 26 November 2001, 11:04 Sent in as well now, absolutely poo coverage! Darren Thompson 26 November 2001, 14:57 My reply from the BBC but what else can you expect when they offer coverage like they did: Hello, thanks for your email. Unfortunately we only deal with feedback regarding BBC Sport Online. Therefore your comments have been forwarded on to the television editors. Alternatively you can contact them directly through the link below:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/feedback/programmes.shtml Sorry we could not be of further help and thanks for your interest in BBC Sport Online. Scoob99 26 November 2001, 18:16 Just had another pop at the BBC at the address that Darren left. Cheers Colin JackClark 26 November 2001, 23:35 If I read this thread correctly then what some people would have liked was a closing party. Now obviously they're not going to spend the taxpayers money on the final event - wouldn't that be nice - but they could still go out with a bang yet. Carlos The Jackel 26 November 2001, 23:50 LOL - as a Scot this is the coverage from the EBC (English Brodcasting Corp) I would have expected if Colin McRae had won it. Can anyone tell me if under European law we have to pay a licence fee? JackClark 27 November 2001, 00:49 BBC Wales was involved. I saw some coverage from them. simon_prickett 29 November 2001, 10:57 I complained too, and wished Channel 4 well with their 2002 coverage :) Simon. |
