There's a nice section that twists through a small quarried area. But, before they reach it you can see them flying down the hill giving it full beans before vanishing into the forest. They then reappear below you and around in to the small quarry. Quality. Scoobychick 22 November 2006, 16:14 I'm undecided :D dreamer_girl 22 November 2006, 20:38 Halfway then you can say hi to me while I'm marshalling :D dynamix 22 November 2006, 21:01 Halfway then you can say hi to me while I'm marshalling :D have you been allocated a post yet? dreamer_girl 22 November 2006, 21:49 We will probably be at the crossroads where the big tv screen was last year (there are portaloos and burger vans there too). We go as a club and one of our guys is in charge of the junction. He usually moves us around a bit - last 2 years I've been just beyond the crossroads (couple of years ago when it peed it down!), at the bottom of the "pedestrian crossing" where someone rode a quad bike at me the sam year, then last year we were just past the crossroads to the left (as you come up in the same direction as the cars). I don't have many distinguishing features other than female, fairly tall, long brown hair, and probably wearing about 100 layers of warm clothing (I'm a wuss !!!). We'll be in a Mondeo I think as haven't managed to sort sump guard/diff guard for the Scooby yet :( Scoobychick 22 November 2006, 22:02 I remember the Halfway rain of two years ago well   *Shudder* dynamix 22 November 2006, 22:48 We will probably be at the crossroads where the big tv screen was last year (there are portaloos and burger vans there too). Scoobychick - it was horrid wasn't it !! We were freezing and soaked, and then got some lip off some journalists who seemed intent on killing themselves and treating us like scum :( FMC 23 November 2006, 01:10 We'll be in a Mondeo I think as haven't managed to sort sump guard/diff guard for the Scooby yet :( you really won't need a diff guard! nor should you even worry about not having it! i drove all of Crychan and all of Halfway two weeks ago in my Civic Type-R, and it was fine ALL the way through, unless you are thinking of giving it some on the rougher sections of course ;) (though be warned - don't try Trawscoed if you have anything precious - the entry lane alone up to the stage is enough to rip all the bolts from underneath!! Glad i was in a rent-a-mobile for that one  Peugeot 207 found it rougher than a badger's a*hole!!). Have fun :) carter x 23 November 2006, 10:45 I remember the Halfway rain of two years ago well   *Shudder* never seen rain that bad since, full on horizontal. if its same this year on any of the stages might not even get out the car ! dynamix 23 November 2006, 11:05 the rain at JAE was like that :D  dreamer_girl 23 November 2006, 11:17 you really won't need a diff guard! nor should you even worry about not having it! i drove all of Crychan and all of Halfway two weeks ago in my Civic Type-R, and it was fine ALL the way through, unless you are thinking of giving it some on the rougher sections of course ;) (though be warned - don't try Trawscoed if you have anything precious - the entry lane alone up to the stage is enough to rip all the bolts from underneath!! Have fun :) Probably not, but I'd prefer to be safe; have seen a couple of marshalls cars parked up with nasty oil trails behind them, as well as one who managed to break the fuel line somehow :o We are at Trawscoed on Sunday..... Its just the car is expensive and I'd rather shell out on some protection, than repairs; was thinking sump guard, diff guard and mud flaps.... Saw some tasty sill protectors too :D Scoobychick 23 November 2006, 11:34 never seen rain that bad since, full on horizontal. if its same this year on any of the stages might not even get out the car ! Me neither! It was such a relief when it stopped, then all of a sudden just before the first car was due the stage disappeared under a blanket of low cloud or fog. It was nice afterwards when the sun came out though ;) dynamix 29 November 2006, 11:04 Looking forward to this - hope the weather stays good and dry. I'll be there with my Orange Animal Rucksack when not in this: http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g281/dynam06/track/cadwell3.jpg terryb 29 November 2006, 12:58 I took this at halfway a couple of years ago - don't think it was an official spectator spot :D http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/terryb/Wales%20Rally%20GB%2004/Loebbridge.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/terryb/Wales%20Rally%20GB%2004/gronholmbridge.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/terryb/Wales%20Rally%20GB%2004/MartinBridge.jpg Daft Lad 29 November 2006, 13:15 I shall be at Epynt this year on the saturday so maybe see some of you there! :thumb: |
