Hi All I have been using the meguair range of products on my car and I'm generally pleased with them. However I'm looking to step it up a bit. PolishedBliss, Poorboy or who ever. I'm looking for the following a complete end to end cleaning system to include wash, polish and deswirl as I have a few weeks off before Christmas and wanted to give my car that special treatment. Please advise (rather than point me to the links as I've read them and it's just too much detail for me :wonder: ) and I will be a new customer. I can rebuy from scratch and use what I have left on the wife's car :lol1: also any special offers hehe

You'll want some of this...

Advanced Wash Kit (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb501wash.html)

and this

Meguiars Quik Clay (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb100clean.html)

and this

Menzerna Intensive Polish (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb70polish.html)

and this

JEFFS Werkstatt Prime Acrylic (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb211polish.html) (kit at the bottom)

For a high shine reflective finish

Or this

JEFFS Werkstatt Prime Carnauba (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb212polish.html)(kit at the bottom)

For a deeper, more glossy/wet finish.

Job done.

The blackfire products are excellent on WR Blue

Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb191polish.html)

Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb195protect.html)

and you only need to use a small amount of the product too ,

gives a real 'wet look' finish :thumb:

Well, two choices spring to mind for WR Blue. The first is the Blackfire system for a really wet, glossy look like this...

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f293/polishedbliss/polishedbliss/p10306/impreza19.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f293/polishedbliss/polishedbliss/p10306/impreza13.jpg

...or the Jeffs Werkstatt Acrylic system for a more reflective, shiny look with more flake pop when the sun is out, like this...

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f293/polishedbliss/polishedbliss/sti-pair0406/jools5.jpg

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f293/polishedbliss/polishedbliss/sti-pair0406/jools7.jpg

...either way though, you'll be needing to start with Menzerna Intensive Polish and a German Pad to get the swirls out. Here's a full kit suggestion...

Wash (ideally every week)

Advanced Wash Kit (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb501wash.html)

Clean (every six months)

Meguiars Quik Clay (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb100clean.html)

Polish (first step as required, second step every six months)

Menzerna Intensive Polish (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb70polish.html)
Ultimate German Applicator Pad (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb68polish.html)
Poorboy's Super Thick & Plush Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb136_401polish.html) (get the 3 pack)

then either...

Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb191polish.html)
Ultimate German Applicator Pad (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb68polish.html)
Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb128_402protect.html)

or

JEFFS Werkstatt Prime Acrylic (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb211polish.html)
Ultimate German Applicator Pad (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb68polish.html)
Poorboy's Super Thick & Plush Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb136_401polish.html)

Protect (top up every 4-6 weeks)

If you chose the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish follow up with...

Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb195protect.html)
Ultimate German Applicator Pad (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb68polish.html)
Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb128_402protect.html)

or if you chose the Jeffs Prime Acrylic follow up with...

JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Jett Trigger (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb214protect.html)
Poorboy's Deluxe Mega Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb128_402protect.html) (you need two, wipe on, wipe off)

Wheels (top up every 3 months)

Poorboy's Wheel Sealant (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb142wheels.html)
Blackfire Long Lasting Tyre Gel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb200wheels.html)
Meguiars Foam Applicator Pads (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb94wheels.html)
Poorboy's Work Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb137_400wheels.html)

Interior (when needed)

Poorboy's Natural Look Dressing (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb147interior.html)
Meguiars NXT Generation Glass Cleaner (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb96interior.html)
Poorboy's Work Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb137_400interior.html) (get the 3 pack)

Engine (when needed)

303 Aerospace Protectant (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb30engine.html)
Poorboy's Work Towel (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb137_400engine.html)

Massive list, pick and choose at will. What I will point out is that all orders over £100 get a 5% discount applied at the checkout. Also, if you go down the Werkstatt route, which is better for winter, all of the products and pads and towels are currently on special offer, with 20% off the usual price - see this link (scroll down for details and instructions)...

JEFFS Werkstatt Acrylic Kit (http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pb216maintain.html)

Hope that helps, any questions fire away!

Excellent I think I prefer the wet look. OK so one more thing what polisher (electric one) should I use. Order will come after this for the whole lot in one go. Also any good detailers in Shropshire Area or near Wolverhampton?

Porter Cable 7424 from Car Wax, Car Polish, Detailing Products & Car Care Supplies (http://www.autopia-carcare.com) - it's an import only unit, but well worth it. However, the whole kit costs around £150-£180 once you have got the 110V transformer, etc, so isn't for everyone. If you get one of these you can use different polishing products (Blackfire SRC twins) that will give better results than the Intensive Polish when used by hand. :)

On black metallics, at this time of year, I would go with the Werkstatt Acrylic options every time, everything else is fine though. :)

I received all the goods. Thanks. Not sure If I should start a new thread or just continue to discuss, anyway here goes.

Poorboy concentrated Shampoo! Really good. I'm not ready yet to do the full works till a couple of weeks but a question I used the green micro cloth after everything was dry and it buffed up the shine no end BUT... it seems to leave fine scratches. Now they just look like they are in the wax layer is this correct or am I seeing something else? I will be ordering a few more things like the more aggressive wheel cleaner (got some built up brake dust I need to clean). Also got the porta polishing machine coming. I also have a paint thinckness gauge hehe man og man ....

Couple of questions (i) what were you buffing off product-wise? (ii) how much pressure were you using? (iii) did you wash the cloths before the first use, as the sticker said to do? Based on what you've said, it's more than likely micromarring in the surface of the clearcoat, as all wax/sealant layers are generally too thin to prevent defects from reaching the clearcoat. You occasionally get marks from towels, particularly as they age, but this can be largely prevented by ensuring the towels are 100% clean and by using the least amount of pressure required when buffing off.

Doh!!! I didn't wash first (I know the sticker said wash but at first glance looked like it was the washing instruction rather than pre-use)! Lucky only on the side of one side i got the marks are well will all be part of the pre christmas polish now as I guess those marks are pretty shallow?? Are they?

Was Meguine NXT gen Wax but all going to change

Polished Bliss

Yes, chances are they are shallow and could easily be polished out by hand - whenever I've had towels put marks in they've come out easily afterwards. :)
