Well, only if you read what they say about the CAT & FIDDLE out of Macclesfield and over to Buxton!
Me, I don't think it's so dangerous
On a bike though, well, that's another matter
Anyway, drop down to the bottom of this page:
Subaru Videos - South Manchester And Cheshire Subarus (SMACS)
and as well as the C&F, I did LONG HILL out of Buxton, and then the little known but excellent MONKS ROAD, which is within spitting distance of my house
Enjoy!
P.S. Thanks to Supertouring for the loan of his bullet cam

ive only done that drive myself 12 years ago in my 1.9 205 gti. it was a summer bank holiday and the road was full of bikers and other drivers cars. me and a mate thought we were the dogs with the peco exhaust barking out. as we exited a sharp bend there was loads of bikers stood with their bikes and i missed the gear change and crunched it
, much to their delight.

Great footage, although you need to find somewhere better to position the mic!
I've tried various placces but the best one I've found is in the boot. Bit of a compromise but at least there's no wind noise (apart from me if I take a corner too quickly

Easy route Carl, poynton, macc, c&f, buxton, longhill, whaley, hayfield, monks road
the c&f is such a mans road, you can now only legally do 50 on it! Mainly because of all the numptie bikers who keep dying on there!
whereas the snake is still nsl, and is an overtaking dream
andy on long hill is unbeatable! he does it everyday though!
neanderthal, nice advice, not so nice a smell

you should try it in thick fog it drives like a different road. Been driving it for 7 years now and in the fog it can be very eerie!!!
don't think i would like to try it on a bike having seen them fall off the road!!
it is not a bad road but you have to respect it ( and the sheep of course)
i've never driven Horseshoe Pass or Butter Tubs. I think maybe I need to get out more!!!

Although I fancy trying some of the roads from the Evo coty 2006. Just need to figure out where they are first.
I drove Buttertub earlier this year in my Civic. It is one scary road with a cliff dropping away from you a couple hundred feet. As I started to climb up it a large van got in front of me. Was a bit gutted as I excepted to be going slow. But no!! Was a local and he was going faster than I would have ever dared. Helped he could see all the sheep in the middle of the road before I would have done. Was truly an amazing drive, came back down it a bit slower, would highly recommend it.
