BBC SPORT | Motorsport | Rallying | Loeb will not race in Wales rally (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/world_rally/6149922.stm)

Well here it is... Seb wont be driving in December, planned return next year for the Monte...

A welcome return for Colin again??? Let's hope so...

Apparently the Colin and Nicky were informed that Seb wouldnt be running WRGB on Monday, so we just have to wait and see if they get the call up!! Fingers crossed!!:thumb: I'd be well happy if they were out in the Citroen again in the welsh woods!!!

I really want to see Seb :norty:

If Colin does drive it may bring some fans out of the wood work for a finally Rally GB, before hanging up their yellow bobble hats

Kris Meeke could also have the drive

So I take it there's not a lot of Colin fans on here...:lol1::lol1:

Nah, to be honest, Turkey was a disapointment really... and as F1 CJE UK said, Meeke may get the drive, and that would be good... Yes I would like to see Colin back out in Wales, but only becasue he is always is a fast, committed driver with plenty of 'sideways', but we alll know that there is very little chance of a win let alone a podium place, but it'd be nice to see a Brit driver back in the WRC...

McRae is definetely not driving in Wales.

Meeke has to do JWRC so he wont be driving a Xsara either, shame as I`d rather see Meekie in it than McRae :)

I've never actually seen colin drive but read his autobiography and agree with ddb85 cocky and arrogant. If he really loves the sport and has a passion to drive the money shouldn't be such a huge issue.

Having said that I would have liked him to be in Wales so I could see him drive.

Will miss Loeb too, he was awesome in Cyprus.

I watched Colin being beaten by Travis Pastrana at the X Games rally event last week. He had a couple of seconds in hand, after 8 stages, then rolled it in the stadium, and recovered to lose it by less than 1s.
Maybe he's not the most accommodating or best driver, but he's very entertaining to watch in the stages. I hope he does get the drive for this reason.
Alastair & Jimmy McRae are brilliant ambassadors for the sport though.
I had a good chat with both & got some hats & tabards signed when I marshalled @ service in 2003. And had a chinwag with Nicky Grist as he went into the Media area.
All top blokes. Really down to earth.

Spot on macattac one of the most exciting to watch McRae, he was a bit arrogant, but what about Burns that was arrogance. I known Grist well and he thinks Kronos havent got the money to run McRae. Meeke will be driving JWRC. So i think Kronos will stay the same, And Alister is driving the new Toyota S2000 car, could be quite intresting to see.
Never know i heard rummers that Meeke might get a 3rd C4 from Citroen for selected event next year. That would be good to watch.

From Walesrallygb.com today:

Rally legends Colin McRae and Nicky Grist are urging motorists to follow their lead and sign up to the lifesaving NHS Organ Donor Register.
The award-winning duo, *who are due to take part at Rally GB in Cardiff next month*, have teamed up with UK Transplant on the eve of a massive mail campaign urging motorists to join the register.

Looks like Colin will be there in some sort of capacity...
