Watching the footage on the other thread of formula 1 car reminded me of an disagreement I had with a friend about which sport out of NASCAR or Formula 1 taps more into the psychology of driving.

Although both sports use very artificial forms of driving and are boring to watch he believes that Formula 1 is superior because the cars take corners. I reckon that NASCAR is superior because very often due to the size of the pack a driver cannot see the road and must feel his way around a track.

I guess its all a matter of preference. Touring car is the happy medium I think.

I've got to say I wouldn't watch either, Havn't watched F1 for about 7 years, as it's far to boring and never watched Nascar as can't stand american TV coverage, toooooo many adverts!!!!

Im a big NASCAR fan. I try to watch every race. Stock cars do go around corners. There are several "road course" events in the NASCAR shedule.
