Default 100watt

can any one tell me if its ok to fit 100watt driving bulbs to a jdm96 wrx:will the wires melt or will i be ok.Any one running these:cheers in advance

Should be OK, but you may need a higher rating fuse.

Also, be aware that Scoob headlights are CRAP, so don't expect marvels. 100W bulbs just put MORE light where it isn't needed

I was reliably informed that I shouldn't fit 100W bulbs to my MY98 UK turbo as it would possibly melt the wiring and probably melt the reflector. I don't kow, however, if JDM lights and wiring are any different.

Xenon bulbs are the same wattage as the standard bulbs, but much much brighter - that's what I did and it made a big difference.

Ditto, got GE Megalights in mine, 60W but 60% uprated, so effectively 96W, good eanough for me.............but then, I HAVE ditched the OE Scoob lights and fitted Morettes

we found my jdm 97 wrx has thicker wires then my mates 97 uk car
his melted with 100watt bulbs
mine has been fine ???

100watt bulbs dont seam to last very long
