View Full Version : WHY DO WE DO IT
big_sw2000 03 November 2006, 12:50  Just remind me why we go out at the end of November, in to a freezing cold very wet muddy forrest. Stand around for two hours uselly in fog just to see cars driven quick, and when they get to us we turn our backs on them and get pelted with flying rocks and mud,
Are we all crazy:norty: , I think so but I love it.:luxhello:

I think you answereed the question yourself!! Because it's cold, wet and muddy.... but a bit of snow would be nice this year too!!!:lol1:
carter x 03 November 2006, 14:20 i fancy a change this year
sub zero all weekend clear blue skys no wind
makes it a bit more fun watching them drive round on black ice with no studed tyres.
Probably end up with diagonal rain and a force 10 gail though
big_sw2000 03 November 2006, 15:10 Ah you forgot the thick fog so you can't see sod all
Miss Pitstop 04 November 2006, 21:25 I had a similar thought on my way to work the other day, how you can protect almost every part of your body from the cold apart from you face. Cos if you did you wouldn't see the cars. :cuckoo:
I haven't been to Wales since 2001, but just remember the cars being parked up and in the evening all getting to know random stangers over a few cans of incredible cold beer, then in the morning doing all the same over a mug of tea. That's why we do it because of the sociality of it.
I can handle cold, fog, snow etc but if it rains I ain;t getting out of the car - even though I have just purchased a rather snazzy pair of wellies:notworthy

big_sw2000 05 November 2006, 22:37 The cold dose not bother me. Its when it p1sses down and you get soaked. Still its all the experiance and fun of rally walesgb
