pippyrips 21 October 2006, 19:33 Took my car there for its service during the week and will be going back again. Good customer service (lots of coffee!) and Andy's knowledge and experience (prodrive WRC mechanic) was a nice change.
David Hendy cars could learn a thing or two.....
WRX RCY GEM 21 October 2006, 21:10 Yes Andy had a big thumbs up from us too
SW Sport Pilot 21 October 2006, 22:07 Has done all the work on my car and will continue to do so, he will be moving to new premises in the future when he does he will let us know to put a thread up for every one
turboDean 22 October 2006, 10:48 Top guy, should be even better when he gets his new bigger premises complete with Rolling Road ;).
After one bad experience with Hyeline, Andy has done all the work on my car for the past 3 years.

Dan W 24 October 2006, 13:05 I've been to Andy a couple times for serive and MOT and won't go anywhere else. Once upon a time I vowed never to go to a back street garage again, but ACE is no back street garage. And he is only 5 miles from home.:notworthy
turboDean 24 October 2006, 17:32 think i will be paying andy a visit very soon.
Hows the MAF eating problem looking?
Danny - it not to bad to find.
As you drive up out of Newbridge town theres a carpet/furniture shop and a pub next door on the left, opposite them is a garage, ACE is down the lane by the side of the garage and is actually underneath the premises. Hope this helps.

WRX RCY 28 October 2006, 20:27 I think we paid about £560 , thats a full service including cam belt, alternator belt, plugs etc. basically every bleeding thing done.
(price includes vat - £480 exvat)
Russ71 28 October 2006, 20:38 thanks for that, just had the belts changed in january so it should be a bit cheeper thanks again :thumb:
pippyrips 28 October 2006, 21:48 general service (oil, plugs, filters etc) is 240 inc. VAT
bluerigster 28 October 2006, 21:57 can someone let me know how much a full service is at ace, cheers
general service (oil, plugs, filters etc) is 240 inc. VAT
Russ bring your car up my house, I'll service your car!. spark plugs, gearbox oil, rear diff oil, engine oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter and brake pads if required for that price.:norty::thumb: .
Russ71 28 October 2006, 22:12 cheers mate, im looking to have it done just after christmas ill take you up on your offer, speak to you on the next meet thanks again :thumb:
turboDean 29 October 2006, 09:50 I think a level 1 service (oil, filter and all the checks) is about £120
Just an oil and filter change is about £75
Russ What actually needs doing on your car? are the plugs due? are the diff and gearbox oils due?
If it had a full cambelt service done in january then it should just be a level 1 service this time and then probably another major one with plugs etc next time.
Dave uk blue mica 29 October 2006, 16:34 Well done to Andy for winning the Malky rally last night sitting in with Carl Davies
