Guys

Anyone got any links to how to set up the suspension (front as well as back) on a CBR 600 F4i? I'm thinking in particularly the rear suspension will need jacking up.

I've read the book that came with the bike and it doesn't mean much to me. I was hoping for "sit normally and there should be this much distance between A and B".

If anyone else has a similar bike and weighs 20 stone I would appreciate knowing how you are setup.

Cheers

Dave

Not that easy as the bike really needs to be set up for you. Setting the preload sag properly first will transform the ride and other adjustments can be made from there. all you need to know here

Got mine set up (couldn't afford upgrade) properly for £35, its worth having a proffesional do it as they understand why they are doing what they are doing.:notworthy

I'm at the other end of the scale at just over 9stone, and I always have to change the spring rate of the rear shock before I even think about setting the preload and compression/ rebound. Just another idea to add to the pot...

20 stone? You'll be wanting your shock rebuilt with a heavier spring.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
Try HyperPro.

Also try

Zenodamper.com (http://www.zenodamper.com)

The guy that runs this is mindnumbling brilliant at suspension, and wont try to charge you for work/parts that you dont need.

I had my Kawasaki ZX6R B1h reworked and setup by him and I was managing to go 6-7 secs a lap faster round mallory than I could manage last year.
