Is there any way of getting route map of the stages. Like a few years ago

i have the last god knows how many years route maps. you could try "google" and get history on the rally etc

i'm getting the Resolfen stage map from the FC outlining mountainbike trail closures soon. I'll scan it and & try to post a link to it, or e-mail it to you.

I have a list of all the changes when compared to last year's route, unfortunately I don't have a copy of last year's maps -

As far as I'm aware, the Margam stage at this year's WRGB will be the same as used on the Red Dragon Rally back in May.

dont know were it is but in 2003 petter was about 8 feet in the air and flew about 100 yards over it and landed on the rear wheels (its on the 2003 wrc dvd)

I've still got the pace notes from this year's Dragon, I'll have a look when I get home and see if I can work it out.

Great Photo, where about is that jump on the stage?

The only places i can find on aerial photos with open ground like that, are both on the final stretch leading into Margam Park. From J23 to j25 on the 05 map.

Not sure if that last stretch is being used this year 'cos the route has changed almost completely and won't finish in the park (probably in respect for 'Beef').

According to the rally guide for this year, only the first 5.44km of the 17.41km total will be the same as 2005...

if i could find a map, i could tell you if this jump is in the rally this yr. If someone would be kind enough to email or PM me a copy i would be greatful.

PM me your e-mail & I'll send it to you. or call into the shop (skyline cycles) and you can can have a look for yourself. Jason (from Maesteg) thinks it's not on the Port Talbot stage this year, after a quick glance at the map.
I'm inclined to agree with him after reviewing all the info I've got.

Thanks for the map of port talbot macattac,just what i was after.I can confirm the jump is getting used,it is just above the car park,just below the 344 on the map.Only problem i can see with this is it will be crowded with people as it will probably be a spectator area.:hjtwofing

Yes i think the jump is being used, but i think they are going in the opposite direction over it.

the jump is definetely getting used in it's normal direction .Car park A this year is just below it,so access is very easy on foot.:lol: :lol: :thumb:

The stage is running in reverse direction, a new route but the last 3 miles are the same as the first 3 miles last year. This years finnish is where last years start was, meaning they will be going the oppiste direction past car park A and over the jump.
