I dont know if it is similar insurance wise to my CBR600F but I paid £700ish for tpft on an 04 plate. With H&R insurance, cheapest by far (i.e. half most others).
Hope that helps.

A lot depends on your age and location. When I insured the CBR in March through Carole Nash the details were :
Age : 29
NCB : 0 (just passed DAS)
Location : Edinburgh (middling to bad in the insurance stakes)
Bike : 1997 CBR600
Quote : £390 TPFT , ~£800FC

I started with h&r four year ago for a CBR600, have stayed with them to now a fireblade. They have always been the best deal around for me.

Bike Trader UK - Insurance Centre (http://www.autotrader.co.uk/BIKES/owning/insurance_centre.jsp)
should give you some idea, don't expect it to be cheap if your taking new metal+new rider

Ebike have come up quite well recently for quotes. I went with H&R (H & R Insurance (http://www.insurance2000.co.uk))
