My car has just been in for it's 90k mile service, to which i was told that three of the dampers were well worn (Too much sideways movement of the piston at full extension). The car has the prodrive suspension on it (STI dampers and Eibach springs) and was wondering what the best upgrade would be?
I was reading a magazine recently which had a supplement on scoobies to which they said that the standard suspension with lowering springs and uprated bushes etc is the best way to go, or would the best way to go fit a kit like koni? I know its down to personal preference but i just want to get some ideas on what you lot think?
The car is for fast road use.
Thanks

If a daily driver then I think that advice is very good, (Sti/springs ) but i would add the roll bars and a competent alignment job.
I would not bother with the bushes at your level of intended mods/use. You introduce harshness needlessly.

If you're feeling flush, you could go the whole hog and go for the type 25 kit from Powerstation??

Alternatively, as Graham (who knows much more about this stuff than me) said, just some replacements for the v good set up you have now together with front and rear ARBs and a good allignment would be excellent and not too costly.

Seen some Sti units on ebay
There are always good parts on Snet too.

A road going Impreza needs to be subtle, not hard.

KYB AGX dampers with Eibach springs and some Whiteline goodies might suit you:thumb:

I'm with Richie on this one, the KYB's combined with Whiteline ARBs will give you a little adjustability and more importantly good compliance on UK roads, lower priced coilover systems tend to be very poor in this department.
