That is ok.

On my old 911 the mod is done exactly the same way! Been great for 11 years...

Why though the odd suspension feel?
Was it better with the packing removed or just different?

Graham.

the two bushes on the rack had stated to slip out the mount making my rack move

If you call the bit of metal plate a shim then it sounds much more engineering like. Still ends up the same though. What would you suggest they use instead?

the mod is crap for the money it costs.

I used machined large disc's of aluminium to do my 911, in my case about 40mm dia and 6mm thick.
These were like BIG washers and worked so well.
Didn't need my Sti v3 doing as the rack was found to be true to the alignment.

> the mod is crap for the money it costs.

You're paying for the knowledge that it needs doing and how much adjustment is needed. And most importantly for the results. You're not paying for the hardware they supply to do it with.

It all depends on the geometry of the car and ride height etc.

My Sti hillclimber has Whiteline 'solid' rack bushes that possiblt lower the rack a touch, and maybe that tunes the geometry in. Thats what we concluded at PowerStation when they did my suspension.
It is not that uncommon for a car to be spot-on.

i just think its very poor that the mod started to push the bushes out.I was chatting to bob rawle and he had a bad experiance with this mod.

that is why i done mine myself :notworthy

my "shims" are also pretty ghetto, but they work, and it cost me nothing except my mate letting me use his 2 post ram for an hour or so :D
