I think I may have damaged the o/s front headlight unit on my MY95 when I replaced the bulb :o. The reflective bit now moves about inside the glass case so the beam is not right.
I will probably need to replace the whole unit. Is it an easy job? I can not see that it's going to be too difficult. Anyone done this before? Anyone got on old unit they want to sell?
Thanks

Remove the wires and 4 bolts - easy.... :)
You will need to check the alignment afterwards - trip to a MOT station is a quick way to do it.
Thanks

Cheers guys. I went out this morning to take another look. I think the adjustment screw thingy as come loose which is why it's wobbling. It dosn't adjust now :( I have bodged it for now with some gaffa tape so that I can get home without blinging anyone ;)

The adjuster fits into the back of the headlight using a ball and socket arrangement - I suspect that your ball has come out of your socket  (excess fidling with same is usually the cause :D) All you need to do is line it up and give it a firm press back in. If I remember correctly I managed to do this without removing the headlight. HTH.

Just though...
How do you line it up? I don't remember seeing anything obviuos when I was looking at it earlier. How can I see where the ball and socket are?
Thanks

When I think about it I must have removed the unit and it becomes clearer when you can get a better look at it off the car. The reflector unit pivots so you just tilt it until everything is in line. It can't be that difficult - I managed it

Thanks. I've just had another look and I could not see the bit in question. I'll take it off at the weekend and try it then.
Thanks for the advice :D

the easy way to do this coz it's such a common prob with our customers is to gently hold the plug on the back of the bulb and gently lift straight up you will hear it click back in to place

Top men!
I was having the same problem as nimbus, and had also resigned myself to buying a new headlight. Now, I can buy myself the new Heavyweight rallyjacket instead (old 555 version leaked (very cold saturday in Wales) worse that the other halfs fiesta !!!
Cheers Guys
