hi, my gsxr600ke always nearly reaching water temp 100degC at heavy traffic times. sometimes 105degC. is it safe to ride on at 105????:wonder:

Normal temp should be 80 ish once warmed up, and what you have after a good ride out once stopped. If your hitting that temp on the move would sujest you get it looked at.

If it's only doing it during heavy traffic then shouldn't be a problem - they all do that sir!!

Check your owners book, but I think it says you only need to worry if it hits 130 :eek:

The fan on mine cuts in at 105 (I think), and whilst it hits that point very quickly in traffic, it never goes above. No problem I'd say :thumb:

Seconded. My K4 750 runs around 105 all the time in town. No problem :)

cheers all, Yeah, it hits around 100-105 in very heavy traffic. once on a clear road for a few minutes, it lowers quickly. so i have nothing to worry about then.:luxhello:

My K4 600 runs about 105 in traffic too!

I once used that Redline Water Wetter stuff in my old Volvo T4, it did reduce running temps slightly, don't know if it's worth a try in a bike engine
