Today is (or should be) a day that will go down in history as the day that "Capital City Subarus" was officially launched.:luxhello:
We have been working on the concept for some time which is really no more than Greater London having it's own club in the way that ESC,WYIOC,Kent Scoobies,Surrey Sccobies etc have theirs, this does not preclude any members of clubs that already exsist in the home counties from joining us, in fact the more that do join the better, it is just we thought after all this time London should have it's own dedicated club/forum site.
We have already had three meets which so far have been on the last Sunday of the month, these have been based in Enfield, North London and have been reasonably well attended with approx 25-30 cars at one meet.
If the Greater London idea takes off it has already been decided that the monthly meet venue will be alternated between North and South London but will still remain on the last Sunday of each month.
We intend to make this club as large as we can but still maintain a friendly, family atmosphere with events arranged to suit all ages and genders, that basically means kids, wives and girlfriends are all welcome.
We are currently designing our own range of "T" shirts and merchandise which will hopefully be ready within the next few weeks, although these will not be as GAY ;)looking asthe current pink shirts that adorn the members of the ESC :notworthy
The basic format of the new website is now finished and can viewed at Capital City Subarus (http://www.capitalcitysubarus.co.uk/) (until the search engines pick us up you might have to type direct into the address bar) where you can sign up and add any suggestions you might have for future events.
As soon as we have the required number of members who are willing to contact Shaun (the webmaster) we shall set up our own banner in the Southern section of SN.
Until then please keep an eye on the Southern section for dates, times and places of forthcoming events.
Don't delay, go to Capital City Subarus (http://www.capitalcitysubarus.co.uk/) now and join the newest and probably what will be the largest Subaru specific club of all time;)
See you at the next meet,
The founders,
