My 300d offers automatic exposure bracketing, which is great for landscapes. The only thing is that I have to press the shutter release 3 times. I don't have a cable release, so this is a pain. Is there a mode where it goes off and does something like:
mirror lockup..
wait 3 secs...
shoot -2 EV...
shoot 0 EV...
shoot +2 EV...
Hint: Ideally someone will say 'no, but the latest 400d does this', and I can justify a new gadget to myself :thumb:
Thanks chaps

You can buy a shutter release switch for £5 to 6 inc delivery
eBay.co.uk: Remote Shutter Cord for Canon EOS 300D 350D 30 50E 400D (item 180038496521 end time 16-Oct-06 22:30:00 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Remote-Shutter-Cord-for-Canon-EOS-300D-350D-30-50E-400D_W0QQitemZ180038496521QQihZ008QQcategoryZ64345 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
And it does the two positions plus a lock down slider

There's no MLU on the 300D unless you download hacked firmware onto it.
On my D30 I used to bracket exposures by putting it into continuous drive mode - press & hold the shutter release and it takes 3 shots one after the other and then stops.
You could just make or buy a cable release, though. There's details of the connector pinout and articles on how to make one at Canon RS60-E3 Remote Pin-Out (http://www.camerahacker.com/RS60-E3_pin-out/pin-out.shtml)

Remote shutter switch it is then!
Andy, installed the Russian firmware yonks ago. Shame the 2nd curtain flash feature doesn't work though.
