How much of a difference will they make to my bike? I am after a 'sharper' feel to the brakes, so is this the best route to go down?

Only come into there own on the track or if your a heavy breaker. your notice the difference straight away when you brake you only have to squeeze the brake it feels solid def worth every penny:thumb: Pudders69 16 October 2006, 09:54 YES!!!!!!!!! If you can be bothered then change the pads aswell, strip and clean the calipers and they should feel lurrrvely.....although it depends on the condition of the current hoses, but they should definately improve. Mick 16 October 2006, 11:01 yup... mucho improvemento... esp if you've got an older machine. I've got them on my Scoob, ZX10 and also a set to fit on my Land Rover Discovery (reminds me must get round to that soon :lol1: ) :thumb: Mick :D Paddi70 16 October 2006, 14:32 As above big fan of the change, on my scoob and blade. you do notice the improvement. miffolump 17 October 2006, 09:05 Thanks for the replies, they all seem to be positive comments, so I will be getting some fitted. A friend has Hel lines on his Gixer 750 and he's more than happy with the improvement.... although he does run non standard brake pads as well. But his brakes are now soooo sharp! Steve MattOz 17 October 2006, 12:04 I run braided hoses on my Gixer and also a Brembo master cylinder and lever. Fantastic improvement over standard. Braided is the way to go. :) Matt crofty 17 October 2006, 12:32 Fitted Goodriges to my RGV (now sold) made a big improvement, will fit some to my blade over the winter. miffolump 17 October 2006, 14:24 Ok, bike booked in this Friday to have them fitted! andrewdelvard 18 October 2006, 12:22 Ok, bike booked in this Friday to have them fitted! From this guy. eBay.co.uk: BRAND NEW HEL BRAKE LINES YAMAHA FZR ALL YEARS (item 190027907170 end time 09-Sep-06 19:47:36 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=25623&item=190027907170) miffolump 19 October 2006, 16:02 I thought about doing it myself, but it's the brakes and I'd rather leave them to someone who knows what they're doing. I know the guy and he's not charging me a greate deal anyway. |
