Hi i have a Power Engineering ECU with a phase 1 chip for sale from my 98 STI. It will fit all ver 3 and 4 STI's.

It is a complete ECU with the casing. Works fine and will give you a good bhp increase. Mine has a dyno of 320bhp with it on. You can plug it straight in with no mapping required.

It has been removed to make way for my Power FC now i have a bigger turbo.

They are £550 new.

£250 if anyone is interested

It is a standard ecu with a power engineering piggy back chip inside. It runs 1.3 bar of boost and is mapped for 97 ron.

Engine and tuning Products for your Subaru Impreza, Turbo, WRX, STi or P1 (http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/acatalog/subaru_products_engine.htm#powerpacks)

It is the engine management upgarde chip described for 97/98 cars.

Power Engineering always told me that they didn't work on sti4's do to reliability concerns (had one blow up on their rollers!).

Well glad it wasn't mine. Lol

I think mine must have been done before that happened then. Its definately for an STI 4 because it says STI 4 on the chip.

It has been fine in my car but i want a Power FC to run my new turbo and suppot my future mods i've got planned.

Will this fit a 1998 UK model?

Lebarron

It would fit it but the map would be completly wrong

But I could get it re-mapped though?

Do you happen to know a rough ball park figure as to how much that would be?

Cheers.

thanks for the info lebarron just had ang greddy emanage blue connected recently to my V3 type r and had a tune running 96 octane only due to low fuel grade available here in manila philippines. Had it spun at the dyno reading 230hp at the wheel on standard boost but with upgrade intercooler/exhuast and downpipe.

I don't really know how much it would cost to get remapped. You'd have to give them a call the link to their website is on the original post i think.

And yes it is still available.
