Is there anything special about chimney rendering, or is it the same as pointing a house but a lot higher? lol.
And when getting a quote how do they charge? (per job, or sq mtr?)
Thanks jimmy :)

Health and safety regs have to be followed in my line of work which pushes the price up a lot higher. I bet not many plasterers would want to do it off a roof ladder now anyway.

I would say a builder would just give you a quote for the whole job scaffolding and materials

Thanks for the advice. I've rang two builders today, and they made it sound like its going to be an expensive job before they've even looked! lol
Cheers :)

Hi Alan.
The house is in North Wales and its a 3 bed semi with two chimneys that need rendering, and possibly a new roof (approx 50% of the tiles are shot).
Know any good builders around there? :)

If you are doing a new roof , Have the rendering done at the same time , It will save you the scaffold around the stacks , the plasterers should just do it stood on the new roofing lats , >> Well I would anyway , cheers Alan.
