RRP is £995 plus VAT and includes the ECU, Installation including Air Temperature Sensor in the intercooler, Dyno AND Road mapping session.

Harvey,

Will this be available as ECU only, with Software/Dongle etc...etc...
Or is the software to be closley guarded aka ECUTEK.

PM me if you like...

cheers....

Hi Scott : Anyone purchasing the ECU, which will be fitted by Steve Simpson Motorsport will have the facility to obtain the software if they are capable of operating it. The cost is included in the package.
I would add that the software is, in my opinion, user friendly.
The ECU will not be sold on its own but only as part of the overall package so you won't get an ECU and then be able to fit it yourself.

Seems like a very capable ECU for its price...
Do they do one for a V5/6 STi?
I'd be very tempted to ditch the AFM.

here's a clue ;)

They have been developed by Steve Simpson Motorsport of Carnforth, North Lancs

Charlesk : It is a VERY capable ECU. Unfortunately it is for M/Y 93-98. The reason for this is that Ecutek is available M/Y 99 onwards and it was felt the biggest void in the market place should be dealt with first.

Stu : Ver 4 STi 4 is a good candidate.
As my friend RRH has pointed out, all Group Buy fitting will take place at Steve Simpson Motorsport, just off the M6 Junction 35 North Lancs.
The ECU will be fitted and mapped on the Dyno Dynamics rolling road facility and the map will then be tweaked with a bit of road mapping.

The Group Buy is exactly what it says. To achieve the preferential price of £800 plus vat we need a minimum of ten people. If there are not ten people the GB cannot proceed.
If you want to pay the full list price, £995 plus vat, then phone up and get one outwith the G.B.
This GB could have been launched earlier, just that to get the cracking price took a bit of time to organise.

Would you need a different MAP sensor to run over 1.1 bar on the early classics?

Can run up to 1.2 bar on OEM sensor.Above that we use a Delco 3 Bar (Absolute) sensor.

Steve
