Any ideas where would be cheaper?? Thanks Torquesteer 10 October 2006, 11:30 to be honest, I think that is blo*dy cheap! Tidgy 10 October 2006, 11:35 does sound cheap, drink driving add more or less 2k straight onto each and every quote (mate had it) Torquesteer 10 October 2006, 11:39 Just added a dr20 with a 50 breathalyser reading on my quotation at elephant.co.uk. Went from £900 to £2500 on a uk scoob! I'm 23 by the way with 5 years no claims. Tidgy 10 October 2006, 11:41 extra £1600 is pretty good though maclean2 10 October 2006, 11:42 Hi - I expect you have tried some of the better known names such as budget but suggest you google for "dr10 insurance" as this produces about 6 firms who specialize in drink drive cases. One firm for example is DD Insurance from Paignton in Devon who say they give each case individual and sympathetic consideration. 01803698456 HTH EddScott 10 October 2006, 16:08 My GF is about to get her license back. When I got 12 months about 6 years ago it averaged about £500 on my insurance but I had 4 years NCB. I left my scoob standard and always insured through Tesco/Direct Line/Privilege (same thing underneath) because they were competitive. Fortunately, I'm out now and can pick and choose but its bleeding ard insuring anything even remotely exotic. |
