my parents are away in porugal at the mo, i get up this morning, go down stairs, intot he conservatory, and the boiler is pissing water all over the floor!!!!!
i have removed the cover and found where it coming from, im not a plumbin expert, but i think its the main feed into the boiler, as the flow wont stop, the boiler is around 20 yrs old, and has jus rotted i believe, as its comiung through rust, so i currently have buckets catching the water, on the pipe where i think the water is coming from there is like a shut off valve, so i think rite just close that and hey presto, but its fookin jammed solid!!!!!!!!!!

if its lead pipe you could try to hammer it flat...AFTER the main valve.

if you have not drowed yet what about the main stopcock? failing that the one in the road outside your house :) but be careful as it is normally linked to 3 or 4 other houses.

sorted it now, shut the main feed off to the boiler now, and drained it. and just spoke to my parents to infrom them of good news!!!!
just hope its not too cold wen they get back as its 31 in portugal now!!!!
