What did people think to the DTS in Cyprus ?

A little short changed due to it not counting ?

Or a good bit of fun

I was beginning to thinki would have been better off going to watch a stage or two on Sunday instead now

Hi steve, I was in the stand at the old port(next to the roundabout where sordo crashed). Thought it was good but very very busy. I reckon hardly anyone had paid for tickets as the stand was packed and some of the locals were rude as f£ck i.e standing up on the chairs - why? I was arguing with one boy who did get down off his chair but as soon as another car came he was back up again!
This was my first rally abroad and thoroughly enjoyed it. The highlight of my holiday though was this photo with mr solberg;

We were in the Old Port Stand too, or at least thats where we bought tickets for. We were a little late due to going to one of the earlier stages and ended up just standing behind a crowd six deep! We were a bit miffed at paying so much when the majority of people around us hadnt paid at all, but we had a good afternoon and didnt miss the Sordo action! And it didnt seem so bad when we thought that we hadnt paid anything for the previous two days.

It was our first rally abroad and the forest stages were just fantastic. We managed to see two stages each day and even crammed in the Service Park as the top 10 were going out on Saturday lunchtime.

Great memories, saving up for another overseas next year. Any suggestions?

It was an excellent rally. Probably the best i have been too. I don't both with the wales rally as I'd rather go abroad to watch anyday. Far better

It did seem a lot of people hadn't paid to go to the DTS, but it was a good afternoon out. Just a shame it didn't count. I was just before the Sordo incident but saw lots of people running to it after it had happened.

The calendar is looking good for next year. I fancy Portugal,Sardinia and Corsica so far :)

I had a great time at the rally...
we watched the ceremonial start ( not as good as Corsica 2 yrs ago! )
One stage on Fri ( ss 4 )
One stage on sat ( ss 11 ) and the DTS.....


... I had bought 2 tickets for the grandstand in the old port area ( £16 cyp each ), but when i got there, it was packed, so couldnt get in!
A couple of local lads also had tickets for the satnd and they couldnt get onto it either!

To be honest though, i had a much better view of the action from where i was ( just next to roundabout! ) so caught the sordo incident on tape and film.

I have sent an email off to the organisers to see if i can get reimbursed, but i aint holding my breath!
