By Glenn Freeman Tuesday, October 3rd 2006, 15:25 GMT
Former world champion Colin McRae (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104789#) will replace Sebastien Loeb in the Kronos Citroen (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104789#) team for Rally Turkey.
Championship leader Loeb recently broke his arm in a cycling accident, and former works Citroen driver (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104789#) McRae has been drafted in to drive the No.1 car (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104789#) in his place.
Nicky Grist, who has joined McRae on 83 rallies, will co-drive for the Scot in the Xsara, which he last drove in 2003 as a team-mate to Loeb.
A statement from the Kronos team said: "(Team boss) Marc van (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104789#) Dalen and (Citroen Sport director) Guy Frequelin have searched for the best solution to help the team defend its leadership in both the drivers (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1104789#)' and manufacturers' championship.
"Colin McRae has been chosen to help the team, and he is highly motivated to do his maximum to serve Seb and Kronos Total Citroen's interests."
The 1995 champion's last WRC appearance came at the end of the 2005 season, when he contested two events for the factory Skoda team, and ran second before retiring in Australia.
