And it's nice to see he has finally put his 'Imola' gremlins to rest... A well deserved Champion in my opinion. Also wouldnt bet against him doing the same next year... r32 02 October 2006, 07:04 What an amazing couple of races by Barros, I thought it was good that Troy Bayliss didnt give up after he won the title in the first race, he still wanted that win and rode really well. Just wait till Toseland gets that traction control fitted .......... Nido 02 October 2006, 08:57 Just wait till Toseland gets that traction control fitted .......... Hasn't it been fitted already :wonder: Did they have to stop using it this weekend then (couldn't watch the races), more development needed  p1mark 02 October 2006, 09:08 not a bad performance wish he had of won the second one as well bayliss isent bothered about winning his heart isent init .:nono: :wonder: He is one of the true 'never give in' riders. A right hard bastid! Dont forget it was in the second Imola race on the day he won the championship previously that he broke his collarbone having a right tear up with Laconi for the win. He rode a measured first race to bag the title and then showed the way to go in the second. How is his heart not in it????? r32 02 October 2006, 12:11 Hasn't it been fitted already :wonder: Did they have to stop using it this weekend then (couldn't watch the races), more development needed  I thought it said in MCN that they were testing it but it wasnt ready and may not be fitted to the race bikes until next season, I may have it wrong though. Sbradley 02 October 2006, 13:24 I was talking with JT yesterday at Imola. He said they'd decided to run with what they know rather than mucking around with variables at this late stage of the season. Which makes sense... Also interviewed Bayliss. Yes, he wanted that second win. He wanted the first but when he realised that it wasn't gonna happen he relaxed and just decided to cruise for points. He didn't intend to let Haga past on the last corner either. Barros is a good rider but he has his head so far up his arse that he needs a breathing tube. You have to book to see him, his agent is present at all interviews and he won't go meet the fans uless hos cotract says he has to. The other riders don't really have much time for him either - they all mix and have a fairly high regard for each other generally. Got back at 3:30 this morning. Ryanair - doncha just love 'em? SB |
