As some of you may know, landscapes aren't really my thing - but I thought I'd share this from my first outing with the 1DmkII. Brighton Pier - the old one.

Nice pic of the West Pier, the other one is called the Palace Pier. Shame they didn't restore it years ago, it's past helping now. Unfortunately, as happens so often, the parochial mentality of some idiots involved in local politics got in the way.

Sky seems a little bit noisy though, have you got Noise Ninja or similar? :)

No, I didn't see that - I was there on Sat evening.

I've run the photo through Neat Image, and it was pretty clean to start with - I think the slight blotchiness in the sky is a quantisation / JPEG thing. A little bit of random noise might actually help, perhaps.

Looks good to me, if you had gone down last night, you would have seen some lighting :D
