Quite a nice site guys but I'd lose the Paparazzi line as in (the ones you see the paparzzi use!) or correct the spelling if youre going to keep it, sort of cheapens it bit, you are professionals after all :)

i did think about changing that line befor, originaly i think it was there to tell the not so well informed person what a dslr is and looks like.

as this is only the second site i have created, it is helpfull to get feedback on the look and feel of it, and of course what it is there for.

You're prices seem low TBH - If you sell a print for £1 through Paypal, you'll barely make anything. Plus it makes other sites look expensive.

I'm playing with Paypal payment system on my site (www.yorkimages.co.uk (http://www.yorkimages.co.uk)), which lets you put a price in for each image, instead of the viewer having to enter the code. Takes ages though!

My next thing is marketting - how to get if found. You can pay a fortune for consultants to do it, but if they can do it I'm sure I can.

I've considered the Paypal route as well but there is no way I am going to sit on editing pages to get the correct link and amounts.

Honest view

Your prices are way to low and make me feel like I would get a print from a home printed inkjet £50 printer. Also, losing 26p per £1 is not leaving you alot to arrange postage envelopes (cardboard backed is vital), delivery costs, and actually printing. I think you might have underestimated the costs. I know you change an additonal £1.50 for postage. This still does not leave you much profit for your work/time.

On full screen gallery mode, I'd lose the print picture button.

If I browse at 1024x768 (which a lot of people stil do) the header takes up almsot 1/3 of my screen. Lose pictures at the top (Road, plane, ballon) and then include them in the BT-Photography logo.

The gallery takes a long time to generate the previews.

thanks for the comments guys, i think we now need to go back and review our pricing scheme.

also its good to get some helpfull tips etc, i think some of the issues are to do with thte hosting company with speed etc. also the print picture button i really hate, but i cant seem to remove it, i think i will contact the hosts and see if they can do somthing.

Hate to be Mr Nitpicker but a thorough proof read and speel check would be good too...

Gallerys springs to mind - should be galleries...

It's a nice site, overall. I agree with Darren's comments in the main but would add that it's the little details that spoil the professional feel.

Another little 'nit pick', the watermark you are using on your images looks very amateur and almost like my 3year old son did it. Granted it's only a watermark but I would make it look a little more 'professional'

Just my 2pennies worth....

can you add to that comment? we are still pretty new to the whole web displaying and selling, is it the choice of watermark positioning? or just the watermark itself?

its all a learning curve so comments would be greatly recieved.

cheers

I think you should make your watermark bigger as it looks like a signature at the moment. People are quite happy to print out images off the net and even frame them despite saying copyright through the middle! Prices too cheap too, 6"x4" should be at least a fiver.

^^ As he said, it looks like a scribbled signature. Something like THIS (http://bbs.scoobynet.com/world-superbikes-imola-t548342.html) looks much cleaner...
