Hi

Due to a few negative remarks about Highway Insurance(used by Keith Micheals), I felt that i in my experience, i had to set the record striaght. As regular scoobynet users will know had my Litchfield Type 20 stolen from Birmingham airport NCP long stay 1.

I had read various posts about bad service, trying to get out of repairs, poor quotes on write off, etc, etc. I have to say that, whilst highway needing the odd kick up the back side to get things moving, they have been pretty good to deal with. The time taken in total, from being stolen to payment on a total loss was 6 weeks(this included vechicle recovery after 2 weeeks). The payment was for the total amount the car was insured for was FIRST QUOTE, no need to haggle etc. So a big Thank you to Keith Micheals and Highway.;)

That is about it, you never seem to read positive posts on insurance so i thought i'd buck the trend !!!

I was with Highway via Chris Knott insurance and they couldn't insure me on my Scoob, strange hehee, so A-Plan got my business instead.

Moley, have I done something wrong then?:( Seriously, I have tried now for 2 renewals running to get quoted with no joy, even to the extent of staying in hopeing for a call back, beginning to wonder if I'm blacklisted or something (although no idea why!).
Steve (MY05 STi, 10yrs NCB, No Accidents, No Claims, No Points, 40 yrs old, Scoob owner 6+ yrs etc etc, hint hint);).

Well what can I say, cant praise Gary enough :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy

A big thanks to Gary for sorting me out an unbelievably good quote on our v5 STI Wagon .... nobody else could touch it :D :D :D

One of the fastest and most efficient people have ever had the pleasure to speak to and do business with, this is the way insurance should be. Sent a PM last night and he gave me a call back this morning, 5 minutes on phone and we were done, you can't fault that sort of service :thumb:

Gary will be getting all my business from now on :D

I also owe Gary Moulson a big thank you - saved me a bundle on my insurance and great service (once I could get through to him) :)

He is a busy chap for good reason but needs some more team members there to help put the quotes together.

Oh I am sorry if I'm putting you out of your way, please accept my apologies for inconveniencing you and trying to get an insurance quote. I rang your company numerous times throughout the week and no one rang me back. I pm'd you and you rang me saying you would speak to your underwriters and call me with a price. You didn't call me back. If you couldn't quote me, or if the price was high so be it, but at least you could of had the common decency to phone me. So I pm'ed you again asking if you could "bothered" to quote me as you showed no customer service in ringing me back when you said you would.

I do not like posting on scoobynet like this but by your attitude has left me no choice. You showed me no courtesy in dealing with me a prospected customer. Please make sure your own house is in order before you post on here slagging others off on Scoobynet, its extremely unprofessional and unwarranted for someone in your business.

As previous posts suggest you can quote and deal with customers in a professional and curtious manner, however on this occasion you were found sorely lacking this qualities.

Perhaps you have a identical twin undoing all your good work and I just dealt with this person. It disappoints me because all I wanted was a car insurance quote and I read on Scoobynet that you were very good at providing this.

Wolfie.

Just my 2p:

Did a deal with Gary from the beach on a mobile for my T25 Spec C. Only £200 more than my old modded 1999 classic. Top quote, good service - Liv Vic wanted £3k more!

(....and he phoned me back.....)

I understand where you are coming from, but i dont think it is really Gary being ignorant i think it is the other people in his office who cant be bothered to pass messages on, maybe im wrong.

I was trying to get a quote from Gary last week and phoned 8 times each time speaking to a bloke who took my name and number. Completly pointless as it is obvious he doesnt pass on messages as i never once got a call back.

Having heard from Gary via PM and sending my number i still didnt get a call back so i rang twice on Friday to speak to him. Both times, gary was on phone, both times guy took my name and number and both times no call back again.

Perhaps that guy needs to be told to try and pass on a message once in a while!!!:brickwall

Agreed.

From what we see on here, Gary is one guy working within a large brokerage doing the best he can. It does just seem like he's a victim of his own success.

He's an Impreza driver, who works in Insurance and you'll often see him post replies/PM out of hours & over the weekends, so he clearly cares.

Again, Gary does seem to have to cover other peoples positions quite regularly, which when youre already stretched clearly doesnt help.

I know we're competitors, but cant help but feel for the guy on a personal level as I was exposed to this situation early on in my career (before the grey hair).

Lets hope he gets some staff support for christmas (or moves to essex within our staff catchment area ;) ).

Kind regards

Tony

I agree with what you have said. He replied to me via PM out of hours and that was appreciated.

I just think the guy who always answers the phone in their office needs to be told to try and pass on messages once in a while as its frustrating ringing a company numerous times and to keep going through the same procedure when you just know that the message never gets there.

I did get insurance with Admiral though in the end!! :)

The guy i think you spoke to (probably sounded like Lurch from the Adams Family) has now left the company.....hence his lack of enthusiasm :D
