anyone used Slime trye sealant or anything like that in their bike tyres?

My rear tyre has a slow leak - goes down pretty flat over a couple of weeks. The bike dealer had some of this slime stuff in so I bought some but re-reading the small print about top speeds and out of balance tyres... I'm a bit dubious about it...

Cheers

Small print - off their website...

WARNING: For high speed application (over 65 mph) use only as a repair - may cause excessive vibration when installed in front tires - to ensure safety, have treated tire inspected by qualified tire professional as soon as possible after puncture occurs. Slime will not seal sidewall punctures and should not be used with faulty valves or damaged rims. Eye protection must be worn during installation.

:Whatever_ - High speed application "over 65" mph!!!!

Yeah - I've heard people having issues with wheel balance. Just get it to a decent tyre place to repair your puncture..........

Agreed, i have used similar stuff (Holt) on 3 occassions, but replaced the tyre asap..it's "get me home" stuff...but i wouldn't wanna ride hard on it. It also hides any other punctures you may pick up...you wouldn't know about it which in itself is a bad thing.

Not sure if it has a "use life" either i.e. how long its effective in the tyre, pretty sure it isnt a permanent fix though.
