Can anybody help?

I'm thinking of changing my Civic Type-R for a 2005 Impreza STi UK but the insurance quotes i'm getting are stupid. I know it'll cost more for the STi but i don't think its worth paying that much.

I'm 30, 7 years ncb, no points or anything like that and live in Liverpool. I know the Liverpool postcode won't help but is there any company that will cover me.

The best i've had is Direct Line... 1300

A-Plan wanted over 3k, and Greenlight were better but still wanted 1700
