Would you believe it? With all that gorgeous weather we had last week, I had to go and choose the wettest day of the year to ride from Slough to Devizes. I was bloody soaked to the skin when I got back.
I realise I won't be showing you 600 sports blokes a pair of clean heels but this suits my needs down to the ground. I did try a load of more 'focused' bikes but after 40 miles in the saddle my w@anking spanners were ready to fall off.
See you out there!
Cheers

Pudders69 25 September 2006, 14:53 Don't be surprised if you shock those supersport boys down the local B roads, i've seen those TDM's hustle if they wanna:)
brybusa 25 September 2006, 15:17 is that the 900 Mark?
Looks just the thing for a long trip..
Sbradley 25 September 2006, 15:22 Couple of the instructors at the Nurburgring use(d) them. Nice tool and, like Pudders says, plenty quick enough in the right hands :)
Congrats anyway.

Scott W 25 September 2006, 15:26 My instructor on the Rapid Training day had the 850 one of these and he certainly got from A to B very quickly on it! Put a friend and me to shame on our sportsbikes! :D
brybusa - it says 900 on the tank so I'd guess it is. ;)

I agree, you've got a very under-rated bike there - you'll gain over the 600's by having grunt, pliant suspension plus the better visability.
Just bought a Superduke myself & find it more fun & easier to ride realistically quick in everyday conditions than I did with my GSXR1000.
I think more people would buy this sort of bike if they wanted to impress themselves rather than others.

So it does! I should have enlarged the piccie...
Mark Miwurdz 25 September 2006, 16:40 Thanks all - I'm chuffed to bits with it!

I'm only posting it because of the family resemblence. looks like your TDM has the same brakes (which are awesome) and you deffo have the right coulour :D
Nice bike mate.
Screwd.
merlin24 25 September 2006, 19:03 Nice Choice Kav - i went for it's smaller,older brother :)
The Fuel Injected 900 is a bit more refined than mine.

Brakes-wise - you're not kidding! They're something else.

I had a look at a mint '99 850 which I fell in love with. I nearly pushed the button on it when I saw the 900 in George White which had been knocked down from £3995 to £2995. Not bad for an '04 plate with 1 owner and 14K miles.

Bravo2zero_sps 26 September 2006, 19:01 Nice bike Kav, like others have said they are no slouch so don't go thinking you'll be left standing, a lot of sports bikes are ridden by the clueless just to look good :)
merlin24 26 September 2006, 21:50 Got a good deal there Kav provided it's got Service history to go with it.
Have a look at the owners forum when you get time

Thanks Merlin
Yep - FYSH done on the nail. George White did an interim service (oils etc) and the next one's due at 18K.
I tried to sign up on the Carpe-TDM forum but it seems to be down the whole time. It looks like the last posts were around March this year so I don't know if it's run out of steam.
Cheers
