View Full Version : 400D Uncomfortable to hold ?

I have a 300D, which I bought when it came out. Had an unmissable offer for the sale of my 300D, so I bought a 400D.

Haven't parted with my 300D yet and find the 400D uncomfortable to hold. I just bought one from Jessups, so I can take it back for a refund

The right hand grip is just too small to get my hand round. I haven't got massive hands, but the 300D just fits so much better.

What I'm asking is should I wait for a later model?

Do you think Canon will bring the 400D features out on a better griping body?

Thanks

David

Why not spend a little extra and buy a 30D, bigger body, magnesium shell, FPS performance - spot metering etc etc.

Common complaint with the 350D and now the 400D. The optional battery grip fixes all these problems, but the cost of this + 400D = 30D

We've also got both, and I would agree that I find the 400 a little small compared to the 300, especially as we have a battery grip on the 300.

Maybe the thing to do is get the grip and try with that on, there are some quite cheap deals around on them. I would also suspect that in time you wouldn get used to the size difference.
