My ZX10 front brakes were a little spongy so I thought there may be some air trapped in the system. I just tested my auto bleed thingy a little to see what moved. Didn't have keys on me so couldn't get to screws for reservoir since screen was in the way.
A couple of days later I came to do the job properly and found I could not move those screws at all. Now I am stuffed because I don't have enough fluid in the system for the brakes to work properly so can't take it to the local bike place for them to have a go. :brickwall
Any ideas to move these things without stripping out the cross-head centre? :Whatever_
And any things not-to-do whilst attemping the job would be much appreciated too ;)
Cheers

So let me get this right, you bled the front brakes a bit with no more Dot4 to hand and then left it:wonder: :notworthy
ok seriously, have you tried gently tapping the screws to loosen them, might sound daft but it works i.e. tap the screw driver with a small hammer.
Alternatively just use the back brake, it aint ideal but works.
p.s. zx10's have ****e master brake cylinders tbh...if you can afford it replace it:brickwall

I have had similar problems. The screws must be made of the softest metal available.
In the end I drilled the head off and the shaft just turned out by hand. If you get them out put new ones in, preferable hex head bolts if possible.

good idea this i think, you can also cut a slot in the shaft if they are to tight and use a normal screwdriver, an impact driver might also be of some help if they are really tight

Dunnit! :D :D :D
Used a small drill to take out the centres for a little way, hammered in crosshead screwdriver (no offence ScrewD' ;) ) - and turned - came out easy peasy :thumb:
I guess a combination of heat, stress relief, vibration and better purchase of screwdiver tangs did the business.
Front brake is awesome once more with the brake bleeding done :luxhello:
Now to get the thing MoTd...
Thanks for the advice and encouragement guys... :thumb:
