Was going toward Buxton about 9am today when saw two blokes standing by the roadside with two scraped bikes / much smashed plastic, just by the stone bridge below the hairpin that goes round the small chapel and past the pub.

Both OK but not a nice start to Sunday :( It was a little misty and there was a long smear of cowsh1t right on the apex.

Both were in good spirits despite the state of their bikes, waiting to be collected. Just goes to show, there're unexpected hazards everywhere.

That section of the road's always got cowsh!t on it in a morning, I've had the odd moment in cars there over the years:eek: At least there was nothing more serious than dented pride.

Holy sh1t, i'd be gutted if i'd lost control of my bike due to cow sh1t.
First i've heard of this as I live in the city, but I guess it's as dangerious as oil or diesel, esp. in the wet.

Back in the day, Barry Sheene told a story about how he was lowsided off his RG500 in otherwise good conditions during testing. He said he went back to the point where it tucked, and there was a large squashed worm on the track :D

Don't know if it's true but it is a good story
