The rear part of the seat rattles and clunks when ever I drive over a rough road. Dealer says they all do this but somehow I just dont believe him. Anyone else got the same problem.

My first scoob did it and so does my new MY00 and the leather squeaks aswell damned anoying

 

mine doesn't rattle it squeaks.... dealer said it didn't.... but it still squeaks. Hope to get it sorted at next service.. I have changed dealer since

 

Passanger seat on my RB5 rattles when giving it some on none smooth roads if it unoccupied, the drivers seat on my MY97 used to squeak this was eventually tracked to a broken weld. But the noise the RB seat makes sopunds like a loose mounting soemwhere but damned if I can find any bolts to tighten!!!!

 

My MY99 did the same. Fixed at first service but don't know the reason.A sack of potatoes or a passenger would be a temporary cure but of course this would not be beneficial to the power/weight ratio.

My passenger seat back rattled from new (MY98) when I took my car in for it's 7500 mile service I mentioned it to the dealer (Walldonway, Maidstone).

They said it was a known problem with a batch of seat runners, and replaced both front seat runners under warranty

Seats haven't rattled since, despite the 45k miles of 'enthusiastic driving' , 17" wheels and Leda that followed...

If you#'ve still got a warranty (UK cars)take it to your dealer and ask them to fix it, you aren't the first, and won't be the last!

 

Yup, MY99, passenger seat rattles over bumpy surfaces. Sometimes adjusting angle makes it go away for a bit.

Anyone else notice cars seems rattle free in wet weather?
